Just over five miles long and two miles wide, Mercer Island is a true island community consisting of high quality residential areas, preserved parks and open space, as well as miles of developed shoreline. Incorporated in July 1960, the Island has its own sense of identity, distinct from its neighbors, Seattle and Bellevue. Mercer Island has been widely recognized as one of the premier residential communities in the State of Washington.

Washington Water Trails Association WWTA accomplishes its mission by establishing access points, recreation and education for users of human- and wind-powered, beachable watercraft through the creation and citizen stewardship of water trails. WWTA works to coordinate and engage people from all walks of life, as well as organizations in both the private and public sectors, to support, develop and protect water trails in Washington State.

My Parks And Recreation The site everyone is talking about! A combined effort of the Cities of Bellevue, Bothell, Issaquah, Kirkland, Kenmore, Mercer Island, Sammamish and Woodinville.
